A vent shaft is obviously a source of air. In deep tunnels, chambers, mines and other underground structures, there is always a pipe or hole through which people can breathe even if their main entrance gets closed off. Sometimes in life we feel closed in, and I think my blog deals with getting fresh air in the midst of challenging circumstances. As a Christ follower and cross-cultural missionary, i find that life is constantly filled with difficult and tight places. Knowing Christ gives me oxygen to breath no matter how challenging it gets. Some of the issues I bring up are those I have dealt with in the past, whereas some are issues that I see on the horizon or hear of from friends. Read a blog or a book review, and enjoy yourself. Help me answer my questions from my blogs, throw some thoughts my way, and I'll do the same for you. My favorite saying: "We have done so much with so little for so long, we think we could do anything with nothing at all." So true, so true. God is BIG!

| Hi Matt, yes I know the Springs, the Staggers' and Mmilidzi (Chris). I asked my husband James if he knows you, and he said he does, and that you worked a lot with Mmilidzi - do you remember James? :) He also got saved through your outreach group (so a big thank you from me *grin*).
Mmilidzi is a good friend of ours - he was James' best man at our wedding. He moved back to Botswana a bit over a year ago. He's now living in South Africa. |
